The meeting was called to order by Peggie Lewis, President of NCAE4-HA. The minutes were approved after Peggie Lewis noted a correction from the November 10, 2004 minutes that Robin Adams, Director of Communications at A&TSU will conduct the spring meeting program instead of provided the program.
Natalie Rountree, treasurer, reported the following balances: Regular Interest Checking, $7749.77; Enrichment Interest Checking, $1585.66; Money Market Shares Account, $1,020.59; and Shares Account $ 41.99. Natalie clarified the Fund Balance, $7,659.77 that reflected a minus of $290.00, restricted Diversity funds from the ending balance of $7949.77.
Richard Freeman volunteered to search the financial records along with association records to determine what needs to be placed in the archives at D.H. Hill Library. Richard will bring a report to the annual meeting in August with a recommendation of what to put in the archives.
Sharon Rowland will be asked to send a letter to the district presidents requesting districts to give $ ____. The letter should outline how $ ____ is used, etc.
Committee Reports: Peggie Lewis
Professional Development - Louise Hinsley requested approval to reopen applications for the NAE4-HA Presenter and the Chester D. Black Professional Development Scholarships due to an inadequate number of applicants. Approval was granted.
Membership - Natalie Rountree reported in the absence of Danelle Barco that NCAE4-HA had a total of 145 state and life members, national members; there were141 national members before December 15, 2004.
Recognition - Shannon McCollum announced that the application process for DSA, Mike Davis and several communication awards would have to be reopened.
Following the conclusion of the committee reports, Travis Burk recommended that the constitution committee review the constitution and include an inclement weather policy.
