Peggy Lewis, 2004-2005 president of NCAE4-HA welcomed the board and called the meeting to order.

Annual Conference - Spring Williams, no report

Constitution, Policy, & Legislative - Howard Scott, No Report

Diversity - Stan Dixon, no report

Finance - Natalie Rountree proposed a budget of $2,570 contingent upon procuring $500 from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Foundation or a $500 lost check:

If the funds are not attained Natalie proposed that NCAE4-HA operate based on a balanced budget of $2,300.

Natalie Rountree made a motion that the Finance Committee recommendations be approved. Louise Hinsley seconded and the motion was approved by the board.

The Enrichment Budget was presented in the amount of $4,625.00 and approved. The auction and dunking booth generated 1274.00.
Donations to the Enrichment Fund will remain in the endowment.

It was recommended that the Southern Regional Director conduct a workshop in addition to the update if he/she is to receive subsistence from the association.

Membership - Danelle Barco will seek to get membership up to 150. This increase in membership will position NCAE4-HA for four DSA's.

Nelson McCaskill recommended that Membership and Constitution get together and look at who can be a member of NCAE4-HA.

Danelle Barco recommended that if we have new members to join before Winter Board 2005, that a smaller scale orientation for new members be conducted at Winter Board.

In order that a consideration for dues increase be entertained, the Finance or Membership Committee must make a recommendation.

Nominating - Nelson McCaskill, no report

Programs - Joyce Watts, will focus on developing evaluation tools.

Professional Development - Louise Hinsley reported that the Professional Development committee will be developing separate application forms for the First Timers and NAE4-HA Presenters
Scholarship.

Public Relations - Travis Burke, no report

Rapport - Bridget Kirk, no report

Recognition - Shannon McCollum, no report

Seven delegates will receive support to NAE4-HA.

The Fall Board Meeting will be held November 10, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The Federation Forum will be held Friday, December 3, 2004 in Lee County. Delegates representing NCAE4-HA include:
Peggy Lewis, Nelson McCaskill, Cathy Brown, Shannon McCollum, April Dillon, Spring Williams, Theresa Clark and Danelle Barco,
