Nelson McCaskill called the meeting to order at 10:15 am. All committees were given an opportunity to report from their committee work.

Carolyn Langley moved we re-open the national recognition categories that had not filled. Jackie Helton seconded the motion and upon vote the motion carried.

In new business, discussion was held on allowing members to vote by absentee ballot. Following discussion, Carolyn Langley recommended the following policy change in the form of a motion:

Absentee balloting will be allowed. Members who are unable to attend annual conference may request a ballot from the state Past President no earlier than 30 days before annual conference.
Signed ballots should be returned via US Mail, E-mail, or Fax to the Past President no less than one day prior to the start of the annual conference.

This motion was seconded by Danelle Barco and upon vote, motion passed.

Tuesday, May 12 is to be held for a spring NCAE4-HA meeting should it be necessary.

Upon motion, the meeting adjourned.
