Work Experience with Extension:
Program Assistant with West Virginia Cooperative Extension from May 2003 until August of 2003.
Was hired November of 2003 in Alleghany County and have been there until now.

Professional Youth Development Association Experience and Accomplishments:
District:
I am serving as Treasurer-Elect for 2004-2005.
I served on the Registration & Publicity and Meals Committees in the district this past year as we planned the annual meeting (2003-2004).

Our district has also divided into clusters. The AWAYS (Alleghany, Wilkes, Ashe, Yadkin, and Surry) cluster has been meeting and starting to provide cluster opportunities for our area. Last year, we held the first annual mini-fair. We have many other opportunities in the planning phase, such as junior days, college visitation days, etc.
I will serve as the Junior Agent Advisor to the District Council Officers for 2005-2006.

State:
I have attended the Winter Professional Meeting for the last two years, and the Annual Meeting from August 18-20, 2004.
At our Winter Meeting, I served as a member of PR&ICommittee. My new committee at the state meeting was the Finance Committee.

National:
I am a national member, and will be attending the national meeting this fall.

I am energetic and enthusiastic about running for the office of Secretary of our Association. I want to be an active member and I believe this office would help me in reaching that goal.
