Rain Barrels Now Available!!

Rain Barrels are now available at the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service-Alexander County Center. The barrels hold 55 gallons. The price is $65.00. For more information or to order a barrel please call 828-632-4451.

Alexander County Center gives our county's residents easy access to the resources and expertise of NC State University and NC A&T State University. Harvesting has just begun from two raised bed gardens located behind the NC Cooperative Extension Center, just off 1st Avenue SW, Taylorsville. The gardens serve as a demonstration project for fourteen students at a local elementary school who visit each week to plant, water, weed and harvest. Weekly sessions help youth learn about what it takes to produce a healthy tomato as well as a healthy body.
