Plant and
Pest Identification
Soil Sampling
If you'd like a plant or tree identified, or a plant problem diagnosed, bring us in a sample and we'll help you out. Or maybe you've caught yourself an interesting insect. Bring it by (in a sealed container, of course!) and we'll do our best to tell you what it is and what you can do if its family is "bugging" you. For more info, try this link to the Plant Disease & Insect Clinic and try this one for more info on Pests.

Soil Testing
When you are making decisions about fertilizing and liming your soil, you may wish to bring in a sample for us to have analyzed at the NCDA&CS Soil Testing Lab. We have a special container, instructions and form you'll need to use. You can then bring the sample back to us so we can take it to Raleigh to be analyzed.
