Overview:
This module discusses the role of portion sizes and its effect on the quality of the diet. It offers solutions to lower nutritional risk by balancing and portioning foods appropriately.
Learning Objectives:

Identifying the food portion sizes in each of the food categories of
the Food Guide Pyramid.
Discussing the recommended number of daily servings from each category. |

Identifying ways to get the recommended serving size of a variety of foods.
Identifying strategies for eating nutritious foods in the right amounts to lower nutritional risk. |

Showing knowledge by writing a personal plan(ways) to lower their nutritional risk. |
Participants will show behavior change by demonstrating one of the following as a result of participating in this module:
- How they have started using portion sizes to guide their food consumption.
- How they have followed their personal plan to lower their nutritional risk.
